Dr Dominic graduated from St Johns Medical College, Bangalore, in April 1994 and went on to complete postgraduate training (1999) in Internal Medicine from St Martha's Hospital. After completing his postgraduate training, he joined as Senior Tutor in the Department of Nephrology at St John's Medical College & Hospital.
He then migrated to United Kingdom to pursue his higher studies and training. He developed a strong passion to care for older adults, pursued further training in Geriatrics and Gerontology. He successfully completed his training and worked as a Consultant Geriatrician in the UK. He relocated back to India to promote awareness and improve the standard of care for older adults.
He started the Department of Geriatrics in Bangalore Baptist Hospital where he currently works. His passion is to teach and impart knowledge and skill. He is an International MRCP postgraduate medicine (DNB) and MBBS examiner. He is also part of various committees and regularly speaks at various forums to promote successful green ageing.
Awards & Recognitions
- He started the ''Age Well'' clinic, first of its kind, to promote proactive medicine. The Government of India recognized this by awarding ''Vayoshreshtra Samman Award'' in Oct 2018.
- The Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India, along with Alzheimers International has recognized Bangalore Baptist Hospital ''Dementia Friendly Hospital'', first of its kind in India.
- Double Helical award for meritorious service in the field of Geriatrics” by the union health minister in Feb 2020
